I've recently bought a few of these. Not high grade stuff (except for a QEII proof)... a Victoria and a George V. I wanted to get a George VI, but they told me that these were only made one year and are rather pricey. He was King for a while, so why only one year? Do/did they make these every year for the other Kings/Queens?
I believe the ones I have are lightly circulated. Did people use them as money? What is the monetary value of these?
So what's the scoop on these coins? If anyone would care to ramble on about these, or could point me to some good websites, I would really appreciate it!!!
Thank you

There were other sovereigns struck during his reign in 1949, 1951 and 1952 but these were bullion re-strikes of the 1925 sov and have a slightly wider rim.
If anyone else has any info at all about these coins, interesting or not, I really would love to hear it.
