It really depends on the type of coins your interested in, and how much money you want, or have to spend, and wether your buying plastic for the high grades. Are you're interested in the quality of the coin itself?
Many dealers have been mentioned above, and some that have been mentioned are honest dealers but aren't necessarily interested in going the extra mile to acquire high end for the grade coins for their clients. My suggestion is to decide what coins you are interested in, and how much money you're willing to pay for certain coins and try to establish a relationship with 2 or 3 dealers that you can trust that will treat you right...
So without more info on what I have mentioned above I would hesitate to recommend a dealer.
The places that I have bought from since I got back into collecting a few months ago are: Alpine Numismatics- www.alpinenumismatics.com and Hallenbeck Coin Gallery- www.hallenbeck-coins.com I will in the future be buying from Michael Dixon- www.michaeldixonrarecoins.com as I have heard nothing but the best about him. I know there are a lot of other places that are pretty good as well. I have bought some things from ebay but prefer to buy from a dealer or forum member. Oh yeah this forum is a great place to buy from as well. I have bought a couple of things 2-3 years ago and I feel that I got a great deal on them. This place is the best place that I have found for knowledge and research about numismatics!
Send me an e-mail about what you're looking for and I might have it. I sell lots of coins that never make it to the website due to being on customer's want lists. I'll work with you.
