This big 5-kopeck should add some weight to the vest...

Holey 1831 Russian 5-kopeck copper

Couldn't pass it up.

I already have an 1841 silver rouble on the vest which is really cool, but unfortunately it is holed at the bottom instead of the top, and since Russian coins of this era are apparently all struck with medal alignment, both sides hang upside down as a result.

Large honking chunks of copper! How much does the vest weigh, Rob?

Nice coin LordM... I love those old Russian Coppers (I used to have an 18th century 5 kopek).

Do you have an updated picture of the holey vest... I haven't checked the board for months, so I'm not sure if this has already been posted.

    Why two holes, I wonder?

It's sad that you couldn't bring your collection with you, Nickolai ... especially since the oligarchs took billions of rubles out of the country.image
