While I am typing this it is only 5:37 Pm and I can NOT wait to start with the fireworks. It is myself and my son here (14 next month) and I am sure I am the one most wanting to set off the rockets I bought...

I unfortunately (or fortunately since I need the income) have to work tonight. But, the good news is I only have to do two short 45 minute sets, and I am playing in an alcohol-free zone. That's good, because I long ago stopped enjoying being out on New Year's Eve.

Syracusian--

I am the most dreaded of creatures-- a singer/songwriter.

Which is one reason you don't see me buying expensive coins.

I play my humble songs in establishments where people frequently imbibe too much and ask me to play such classics as Margaritaville and Danny Boy over and over and over again.

An "alcohol free zone" means I am playing in places where "the whole family" can come and watch and listen. Which, yes, can be a special type of hell all of it's own.
