How do you personally rate 2003?

OK, we've almost lived through another year -- 2003. Now, before the record books get hold of it, how do you rate 2003?
1. For coins?
AWESOME. The best in years, everything I had hoped for and more.
2. For your personal life?
Well, let's just say, wait till next year! I've had better years.
3. For the world situation?
We are either on the road to a whole new world with new rules, some we may like and a lot we won't, or Armageddon has started.
Best of luck to everybody in 2004!!!!!!!!!!!!

#2: Personally: tough year. Working way too much, haven't had a vacation since before April, no end in sight. But, hey more money for coins.
#3: World: Always something crappy happening, every year.
Not too bad.
2. For your personal life?
Could not have sucked more.
3. For the world situation?
I'm surprised that WWIII has started yet.
2. I have had better years, I have had worse years.
3. STOP THE WORLD I WANT TO GET OFF!

2. Personally: very good, moved into my first home.
3. World: there's one week left in the year, let's not jump to conclusions...

2. Personal: ROCKED as well. My new daughter (b. 1/19/2003) is an absolute joy. My job kinda sucks these days, but at least I have one.
3. World: SUCKS. I'm tired of death and war. I hope everything is all nice-nice before my girls are old enough to realize what's going on.
A. U.S. coins- I do like the state quarter program, but most of the old designs and even some denominations must go.
B. My collection- I had to liquidate some as I have been out of work, but, a good collector is always improving and upgrading-- even with little money to do so. I am a mediocre collector so I have stood somewhat fast in the midst of minor liquidations.
2. Personal- Read 1.B., no, seriously, I quit a job that I hated for eight years, I have more time to spend with the most adorable three year old in the world, and life could be much worse. Personal year 2003- B-.
3. World- You are right. Either a new world order in which the U.S. brings peace across the board, or utter ragnarok.
Personal- What part of the year? Beginning wasn't bad, and I took my first AP test (yay for 5 on Bio!)... now I am overloaded with work, and junior year SUCKS... it'll be over in 5 months, when APs are done...
World- I hate our president, I hate his war, I hate the situation in Israel... I'm not too keen on the world right now
#2 personal Picked up a few pieces that I really wanted and looked for a long time prior, added to my collecting knowledge significantly this year, with many thanks to the board members.
#3 world typical
2. Personal situation has dramatically improved financially.
3. World situation is a bit better politically and economically overall, but we are still stuck with Bush #2.

1. Hobby's always enjoyable, when I find a quiet moment to sit down and enjoy it. I used to get uptight often about grading issues and the seeming unfairness inherent to the learning curve, and sometimes still do, but I've learned enough now to find a good deal of satisfaction with it.
2. Has really been a pretty fine year personally - met a very cool girl, still have a good job that I enjoy working hard at (though bichin' and moanin' seems to be a frequent habit amongst my coworkers - oh well.)
3. Worldwise, there's a variance from day to day and week to week, scum are still afoot but sometimes good things occur as well; I let things I can't really control get to me sometimes. Too much 24/7 information but that's the attention-deficit world we live in. Personally I believe Bush is doing a great job with a very difficult platter, certainly I wouldn't be able to handle such a set of responsibilities. "His" war I don't agree with as a notion at all, but there's not much left to be said in that roundy-round discussion that hasn't been said already.
For coins, I sold off almost my entire collection over the summer. I'm left with little scraps now. I'll start back up again when the market gets a little cooler. I made a pretty substantial gain on it so that's good. Year after year I become more and more interested in this beautiful hobby.
Personal life is great overall. My family is still another story. My injury has gotten much better after my surgery in March. Finances are good, pretty decent year.
For the world, well, I'm extremely proud of our nation and extremely proud of our President. I think he has done one of the finest jobs as President and he will leave a long-lasting legacy when he leaves office in 2008. All I can say is good luck to the Democratic party. I have never been so embarassed of a politician in my life as I am with Howard Dean. He's a total disgrace to the party and I sure hope he doesn't win the Democratic nomination. I'm a republican but I'd love politics to steer away from this needless antagonizing and pointing fingers. Does Dean have any friggin' idea what Bush has been through in only two and a half years? I'd love to see him do it any better. This President has done so much for our country that will surely go down in history. I think the economy is going to improve substantially as well. I see a good year coming next year. The only thing that worries me is more terrorist attacks.
For coins, it's been up and down. At the mid year point I had more $$$ in my coins than I ever had in my life. After many home repairs and things, my $$$ in coins went down. But it was a blessing. Instead of chasing super duper ones, I am now down to inexpensive and eye appealing coins. I'm happy with that. And now that I'm buying a car I'm selling some of my gold. So my $$$ in coins is now about 1/10th what it was at mid year.
Personally, it's been a good and confusing year. Next year will be excellent. Everything is showing that next year will be a very good year for me. Not necessarily financially, as that will remain stable, but in every other way.
World situation. As a Christian, I have a different view of the events going on in the world. I have hope.
2) About the same as the last two-three years. The best in a long time.
3) As they say, SNAFU. No worse that usual, though.
2. For your personal life? - a very successful year. My kids are a real joy and I am more in love with my wife today than I have ever been.
3. For the world situation? - geez....isn't this a little too much for a coin forum?
1. Coins-sold some off, haven't really bought any lately.
2.Personal-let me just say it has been one heck of a year!! All the way from the police busting our parties and me getting my driver's license. I will never forget summer of 2003, parties on the beaches and vacations with my girlfriend!! Summer of 2004 can only get better!!
3.World-Airplane expressed my sentiments on the subject.... It seems our world gets stricter everyday. What happened to the days of vigilantism and the Wild West? (Wild West by Will Smith starts playing......)
But seriously, it has been a great year for me personally. The time spent with friends and girlfriends is what you will always remember, especially those wild and crazy summer parties... College is in the horizon soon for me and I can't wait. I want to experience the world on my own and just have a great life filled with excitement and adventure.
