Merc 1916-D FB or NSB Query

If YOU were to purchase a 1916-D Merc dime (in MS grades) would you go for a FULL BAND example or NON FB designation knowing FB is so much more money but equally expensive either way?

In that case, just get a 1916-P

If I had a choice between a 65fb and a 66 I would pick the 66.
I'm guessing the non FB examples for the most part are probably struck nicely and would be a decent choice if found.

I have a PCGS-55 that has Full bands, and have to admit having it be a FB is kinda nice. However, PCGS only designates FB at 58 and higher. I have thought about sending it in for regrade and catching a 58 FB, since so many people have commented that it looks 58.
But dont plan on selling it, so I could care less what the holder says.
Although to complete a registry set it would be nice I can see only the well heeled, where literally money is no object, able to just pick up a FB example.
I just had this horrible thought that I may never be able to complete my set "corrrectly" due to the fact that I too see no true reason or monetary justification to pay for a full band example.
Thanks all for sharing!

Once I wrote a satirical article about crooked coin dealers who were selling Ike dollars "with full split continents" with extra points for “Panama Canal locks.” Darn if I didn’t see an ad for something like that in a trade publication a few years later.
