Very nice set! And I must admit, it's light years ahead of my set in quality! I cleverly scraped out one of the dollar holes for a 1799! I did that because a couple of the seated dollars look so simular and I want a few 18th century coins included in the set.

Seeing that you probably have a few grand invested in the set, Bikingnut mentioned he has the older Dansco album as I do and if the newer ablum is anything like the old then those dcams and many of the other coins will noticably tone in a matter of a very few short years! I bought my 1799 dollar about 8 years ago and it was cleaned at some tome in it's life but has sinced toned nicely. image

Nice set. I started one of these a long time ago and have neglected it too long. I just can't stop buying those darn Washingtons!

    Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
  • Great set, your and Barry's albums have inspired me to start one. So far I just have the more recent coins, but I can't wait to start hunting for the older stuff!

  • Wow. That is all I can say. Absolutely spectacular coins. You must be very proud! I have a Dansco Album for the Roosevelt Dimes w/ Proofs, and I was excited when I finally finished up that set. I can only imagine the glee you felt when you finished yours. image (Though technically, I'm still not done with my Roosies. I still need to pick up the raw 1950-1955 proofs). I just purchased my first real gold coin a short while ago, and now I'm tempted to put together a type set of coins from the year 1880. I already have a complete set from my birth year (1980), so why not get one done for the pre-centennial of my birth? image
I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.

    Absolutely beautiful.
  • That is a beauty, I love the history. I still need a trade dollar and a seated dollar to finish mine, like someone else I scraped out the hole for one of the seated dollars to put in my 1799. I actually love the commemorative holes since it adds to the history and you can put in your favorites. Thanks, this'll get me looking again. Maybe it's time to trade in some high priced silver to finish my collection.
