I will start another thread regarding what Ive learned about the 1965 set over the past couple of years and hope others could add their thoughts as well.
VIC - Its a great set! I had alot of fun playing w/ mine as well. Almost hit 100%, but stopped at 96.6% BASILONE knows alot about the set afterall he started the set 7 or 8 times ...jay
I just got back in town and missed all of the fun.
I did buy the Charlie Smith card for $700 from Jim. BTW - Jim is very good to deal with and I appreciate his quick delivery of the card.
I just opened the package and I can't imagine finding a stronger example of the Smith card. It is a very strong 8!!! The last Smith I owned looked more like a 6.
$700 was probably a bit strong for the card without seeing the scan but I'm really glad I did it now. I may be saying something completely different if the pop goes to 12 this year.
