A few weeks ago we had a thread on a sample slab that looks like this:

It was a new discovery since the label type wasn't used until the later PCGS slab without the outer ring around it. Some samples were made with this type of "newer" label inside an "older" slab. It has since been listed as PCGS 4.1 on my website.
Now in the mail from an ebay auction came this slab:

Same older slab, but with a newer label type that shouldn't have been used yet. To top it off, the label description says "sample dime" instead of "sample." Very neat and goes to show at least two types were produced within a small time frame. I'll add it to my site as PCGS 4.2, and I wanted to let everyone know that this kind is also out there. Who knows. The normal prodction slabs may have this same label type.

I have an example of the first sample slab without the word DIME, and I now own two production examples of this slab variety which brings the number I have seen to four. They have all been like the first sample slab with no mention of the coin type like second sample variety does. but then I would not expect production varieties to except for years when there are more than one design type issued for a denomination. For example 1921 dollars labeled Morgan and Peace.
<< <i>Other than the addition of the word DIME to the second slab the labels appear the same to me. Am I correct in that assumption? If not, what am I missing? >>
The label is the same except for the "dime" description. This is the label type without perferations that you said a few weeks ago in a post shouldn't have been used until the later slab type without the outer plastic rim around the slab.
