Actually, both are quite accurate... it's simply how the coin is held in the light... the problem is finding a happy medium with the angle of the light, and getting a head-on picture. Without a video camera, it's quite difficult to capture both toning and luster.

#1 shows more detail, most noticably around the eagles head. Nice pics.
