Which Photograph do you like better?

I have took two shots to capture the luster of this toned reverse... which do you like more and why?

    I think that #1 is a more attractive photo, but #2 is more revealing.

    #1 Lighting is better and contrast is nicer. #2 lighting is too harsh for me, lose detail.

    #1 the detail in the wings shows up better.

    I like the 'blend' of photo #1 better. The left half and right half of the coin seem to blend together more naturally. #2 seems a little harsher and more forced.

    I like the way #1 looks, but the more important question is which pic is a better representation of what the coin really looks like?

    imageIf I'm not mistaken ,I believe you said the objective was to show off the luster-While they're the same coin and both beautiful picture, #2 exhibits the frostiness of luster better,but that's just my opinion They're both beautifully taken photos! If the objective was to show the beauty of a toned coin, I'd pick #1 but since you want to show off the beauty of sugary/frosty Mint luster-I have to go with #2

    #1 enhances the toning the best (brightest magenta colors), whereas #2 shows the overall luster better. #1 seems to hit the luster right on the color spot. I like it better.

    Actually, both are quite accurate... it's simply how the coin is held in the light... the problem is finding a happy medium with the angle of the light, and getting a head-on picture. Without a video camera, it's quite difficult to capture both toning and luster.

    #1 shows more detail, most noticably around the eagles head. Nice pics.
