Need advice: Fuji FinePix 3000

    My wife uses FUJI FinePix4800 and it's got great macro's....but I cant seem to get it right. she takes pix of flowers and stuff...close ups of the kitties....but I cant seem to get good coin pix yet....

    My digital cam is a Fuji FinePix F402...very small, macro capable, but it's new and I havnt messed with it (macro) yet.

    so...basically...hahaha...i cant help you much. image why am I even writing???

    Here's a review of it

    I remember looking at the predecessor (3800) and passing for a few reasons. First, for macro and closeups, the 3.6" minimum distance for zoom is kind of large. Also, it is a fully automatic camera- there will be times when you want to play with aperature/shutter/etc., and this camera won't allow it.

    Personally, I'd pass on it. Even an old version of the Coolpix 4500, such as the Nikon 950 or 995 would probably be better- for coins, and general photography, too.
