Rim Toning, who likes it?

I find coins that look like this so irresistable, I had to buy it, even though I already had the date in gem:

Anyone else love the concentric, peripheral rim toning and legend toning, with the lighter centers?

bust out your camera and coins and show your best stuff!

    I have a Morgan that has a beautiful light rose rim tone. If I knew how to post a pic I'de give it a try.

    Count me in as another fan of rim toning.I own several early commems with nice rim toning.Almost looks like a frame around the coin.

    so far most of my foreign coins are ancient and 17-th-18th century, but those are beauties!

    The Dark Side is full of classic, beautiful designs. I recommend it to all.

    There is no law saying you can't also collect world coins if you are a US collector.

    Also, the World Coin forum is a very fun place.

    I love rim toning and peripheral toning in particular, resulting in a small crescent.

    Lord M, that is a nice Morgan! I like how there are No marks in the Red areas, just a few in the orange and yellow, and the biggest marks are in the green area! It must be a high grade piece! image

    Thanks Isle for showing MY 1886 morgan now in a PCGS66 holder (only one of 6 to cross). Thanks again Isle and you can show her anytime...im still working on my camera skills...ps...too bad you cant catch the incredible luster on the coin....MIKE
