unmentioned smudge
In todays mail was my 1978S PCGS PR69DCAM Jefferson Nickel that I won on ebay. It has a smudge that looks like a partial fingerprint on the reverse below and to the left of the E in E Pluribus. The auction has pictures and you can sort of make out the smudge in the picture. Not sure how PCGS can call it a 69 with a smudge on it, but they did. The picture below shows the smudge. Other imperfections are the result of the scan and are not on the coin.
Heres the link to the auction. auction.
Should the seller have mentioned the smudge in the auction? It seems to me as if they should have, but wanted to solicit input. I did not pay a huge amount for the coin, but I wanted a PR69, not a PR69 with a smudge

I believe that, unless it was clearly visible in the image, it should have been mentioned in the description.

This seller does have a good return policy, though, so you would receive no hassle if you wanted to send it back.

<< <i>It's a PCGS smudge >>
if it on a coin in a pcgs slab it is.
I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.

Of course, some people night consider a smudged holder as sufficient reason for a return, as recently evidenced by that guy who freaked out about the hologram.
