I have a few hundred of these I would like to move out. Seen these sell here and on ebay for well over the $2 mark. Shipping will be extra, but as close to actuall USPS shipping. I believe they weigh 13 oz. each so even one would have to go priority at $3.85 for shipping, but if you get more than one, I think the shipping charge starts to be more managable.
PM me with a count of how many you want and I will figure out the total.

It is highly likely, that at one time, the boxes contained / held "set registry" material.

Do the green boxes have to be listed in the Varieties Set?

No, and that's good.
But, I have to tell you, I can't understand why PCGS won't let me register my NGC boxes.
Buy the box--not the coin! What difference could it possibly make?
Clankeye
Thanks
The green boxes tend to be undergraded. Crack them out and resubmit them.

P.S. Redcents - you earned 50 free boxes with your delightful dinner in Dallas last week. Anytime you are in S CAL, feel free to claim your 50 boxes (non-transferable)

I suppose the germans had nothing good to say about their leaders in WWII, so they didn't. Thank god someone else had something to say. When someone does something wrong, it should be brought to the attention, no buried.

DRG, no, on the contrary, I believe that a number of threads started here, such as this one (though it is admittedly an extreme case), are responsible for "killing this board".
I previously commented, on more than one occasion, that this place was becoming more and more like the BST forum and I took considerable heat for it. But, I believe there was some merit to my concerns.
A little Banter around here has been sorely missed in the last year or so. Some of the shirts need deflation in my so very humble opinion.

Ken, that might be true, but, it is INFLATION, not DEFLATION, that is good for the rare coin market, in general.
Back when PCGS switched from Green boxes to Blue boxes, PCGS had a supply of fresh, unopened Green boxes still in the original packaging. PCGS was in their former building with a lot less room and (I assume) a much small warehouse (garage). I saw Rick M. around the warehouse one day and I asked him what PCGS intended to do with the excess Green boxes and he responded that they intended to toss them. I thought to myself, how could PCGS toss what would one day surely be "collectors items". So, I asked him if I could pick up all the "junk Green boxes" to which he happily replied "yes". The next day, I drove home a car full of PCGS Green boxes!! What a score. But, to make a long story short, I then ran out of room in my own garage to store the "junk" and gave in to my wife's "demands" to rent a storage unit to store "crap" like this. For something like 4 years now, I have been paying $1500/year to store "crap" including this hoard of fresh, original, unopened PCGS Green boxes! I now know what my New Years resolution is going to be

Damn........
Ken
If it weren't fot the high cost of the postage, I would have bought some.
Come on use your marketing skills. Sell them as "Wonderboxes!"
Promote the idea that coins magically tone in them or something.
There's gold in that there storage unit!
Clankeye
Clankeye: Care to work on a large commission basis to "market" them? Hey, I couldn't give 25 boxes away for a $10 lunch at Dennys! But, then again, maybe it was "the company" and not the boxes.
Wondercoin
People are going to be knocking your door down. Wait and see.
Clankeye
ones for big money on e-bay. Those modern collectors will buy anything you know.
So far only Wondercoin has seen these and maybe through the years being stored within the slabbed confinement of a storage shed they have acquired haze, spots or heaven forbid ugly tone.
Ken
Ken: If that becomes the case, do you think I might have recourse against Rick M. who encouraged me to take these boxes off his hands in the first place - now, at great expense on my part? Of course, there is always the issue of when the boxes "turned" in the shed.
Wondercoin
Yes, you could send them to NCS, but the originality would be lost forever.
What good are a bunch of unnaturally bright, shiny boxes?
Clankeye
I think as long as these were not Raw Boxes some recourse should be attempted. Someone has to step up if these are not Market Acceptable.

If I were to mail you a $10 Denny's Gift Certificate will I be allowed to "cherry-pick" boxes of my choice next time I am in SoCal or would they just be random boxes? And how many bonus boxes can I expect for being kind enough not to subject you to the time constraints of dining with me?
