Seated half pics, experimenting with new lights.
I got a couple new tiny halogen desklamps today and have been experimenting with their use. the best I have found so far is to get the lights as close to the coin as possible, with just enough room to get the camera in there.
I have also found that my camera likes to focus on the plastic front of the slab. Aperture priority on the camera helps with that, can close down the aperture (higher number) and that helps deepen the range of focus a little. That's where having a lot of light helps. It keeps the shutter speed fast, decreasing blur.
this is what i got. the obv is a little out of focus, the rev is a little out of focus at the bottom. Oh by the way what's the grade?
