Prussian 2 Mark Proof Pattern

I finally had a little time to play around with some imaging regarding my two Goetz Pattern sets from 1913. Here is a shot of the 2 Mark piece. Something of interest, Goetz reverse engraved the dies by hand. This is much more difficult than making a wax model and subsequent plaster model which was reduced and engraved by machine. Goetz was truely a Master engraver.



I have provided a negative shot of the same coin so you can see the FDC condition this coin is in.

Just beautiful! Is the "W" in Wilhelm a double-V? I've seen that in older engravings which is why I ask.

I've been trying to get some pics of the 10 Mark and it's a pain in the butt. The smaller the piece the more problems with lighting and dust/hairs/lint. I'll try doing the Drei as Cosmic suggested. S
