I was kicked off TR yet I didn't break any rules. I have emailed them and haven't gotten an answer as to why I was booted so I thought I would post here to maybe get an answer.

This was the email all TR members received and it mentions about their sponsors maybe getting upset.

All I did was ask if these were the very same sponosrs that have commited fraud within the card community.

Playoff with the fake "BuyBacks".

Topps with the Hockey cards lawsuit.

I don't think I insulted anyone. The Gigglinrat guy called me a liar twice and I explaned it to him slow so he would understand but I didn't think that would be against the rules.

I did say that though about the contests because it is true.

I was kicked off for asking about the sponsors plain and simple, because I broke no other rules. I guess by me posting it might hurt the free boxes they get from Topps and Playoff for their product reviews.

I liked TR much better back when it was on MSN.

OK, let me explain this to you real slow, so you can understand. When you choose to use a service such as a trading site, it is not proper to post on said site insulting its staff, its sponsors, and its membership. When you allege that the sponsors of TR have committed fraud you insult them. When you say that the staff doesn't think our "S" stinks, you insult us. When you say people kiss "A" to win contests and such, you insult the entire membership of TR. I politely informed you that if you made one more insulting post, you would be gone. You did, and now you are. Does this clear things up for you, or do I need to draw a picture? You have never been an assett to TR, or any other site. Your persistent ramblings about the card companies alegged fraud is both annoying and completely boring. You think that because you claim the fraud that means you have proven it. That is a mistake. Unless you can show court papers where these companies have been convicted by a judge, or a jury, you have proven nothing. An accusation does not make a conviction. Welcome to America. You were "kicked off" because you simply don't know when enough is enough. You were given multiple chances to just chill out and drop the issue, yet you continued your condescending and rude remarks toward myself and the entire membership of Trader Retreat.And now, alas, another group of unsuspecting traders who simply want to trade sportscards will be subjected to your inane mumblings. Dude, get a life. Nobody cares about your crusade. Nobody, except maybe a select few who have no more life than you do, that is. Personally, I have better things to do. We have been over this. It has been proven with both companies.

Topps has ben taken to court and lost. Proven!

Playoff has made an offer and wants me to sign a release but even more so I showed everyone the proof with the cards missing the serial numbers. Proven!

TR just doesn't want to lose their free boxes from the sponsors and that's a joke. That my friend is called selling out.

All I did was state my opinion and tell the truth (again didn't break any rules).

I think perhps if you had as much money invested in these fake "BuyBacks"as I have you would also have a different opinion.

What really gets me is that no one cares what Beckett or the card companies do.

Bottom line is that both Playoff and Topps have commited fraud and it has been proven in both cases! Beckett has also commited fraud in a sense too by siding with Topps in court but that's a whole other issue.

..... me & their mods haven't really gotten along ....but if you was on their site .... insulting them on their site ...then they have reason enuff to put a boot in tha ass ... & not explain to you why ..... build your own site and insult people,then you won't have to worry about it any more ..... as far as inviting people to come to your house & talk " that crap" ... i cant think of any better person to invite for a whup-ass party than myself ...but seems i miss all the invitations ..... of course anyone can be "The Hulk " on the puter ..only a few can back it up ...so my suggestion to you would be is to go to the beckett board and whine there..its only befitting...besides .... anything else, would be un-civilized

Just b/c TR chooses to be in the good graces of major card manufacturers over being in the good graces of your idiotic one-man rebellion doesn't mean that they're sellouts. A card trading site that is against card manufacturers does not make a lot of sense. Why that glaringly obvious fact eludes your small mind is beyond us all.

no one makes up fake prices...whats that all about...it may not always seem like it, but its not like beckett throws 10 guys in a room to make up prices on random cards...they go by market movement and all that...and i highly doubt these companies would stay in business if they were "frauds"...rules are made perfectly clear when you sign up and everyone should know what you can and cant do, especially after being a member for a substantial amout of time...its just an issue of what kind of image the mods waht to give the site since they ARE the ones that created it, and to acquire sponsors and continue to expand, keeping everything orderly is necessary...

Both companies have committed fraud not in my eyes, fraud that can and has been proven in both cases.

You seriously cannot believe that do you? Did you know that every list Beckett has in their guide isn't compiled by them, each card company sends Beckett the checklists for their sets.

Heh, usually I don't get involve with situation concerning other sites when stuff is posted publicly, BUT listen to yourself. You say "We have been over this. It has been proven with both companies.". Ok, then why you keep going over it and running it into the ground? You are a.) NOT going to change people's minds, b.) singing to the wrong chorus, and c.) wasting bandwidth. You whined on Beckett (funny you post on a site that you hate... as seen with your name "Beckettsucks") and whined on H.I.

Here is a good reason why "no one cares what Beckett or the card companies do." Most people "collect", not "invest" in cards. Not many people collect buybacks. So, you may need to find a site where majority of the users collect buybacks and whine to them. Maybe create a "buyback" colt or something. If all have committed fraud, why you whining on sportscard sites and not filing a lawsuit? You definately have too much time on your hands and need to find another hobby to keep you occupied.

I got a good idea. Go find cardcop. Whine to him til you blue in the face. Both of you have a lot in common.

You wrong again. I'm not rich and I'm not a kid. I work 12 hour shifts, so my time is occupied. That's something you need to do. find a job or something instead of complaining all the time. You've been whining about the same thing for months. It gets old. You seem like the type of people who goes down a friends house and get beat up. Whine about it, but keep going down there and continue to get beat up everytime. Now you accuse them of fraud. If they changed their ways, you probably couldn't live with yourself because you would have no purpose in life (nothing to whine about).

I don't understand what don't you guys get about that? Let me put it another way for you. Say you collect a certain GU set or a certain autograph set. You have been happily finding them and saving them when one day you learn that they weren't real. Say the GU was fake and was never worn by that player in a game or an autograph was forged.

This would be ok with you?

You wouldn't care that the company did this or Beckett turns a blind eye to it?

I haven't bought a Beckett in ages and have never bought or got a card graded by Beckett, so Beckett doesn't bother me. If you don't like Beckett, boycott them and shut up about it. And I've been collecting Classic Cuts and almost positive there are more than 47 Ralph Kiner bat cards and starting to think there are more than 25 Kirby Puckett bat cards. I recently discussed it with Fleer and they went by their paperwork when releasing numbers. And I know about forged autographs (Signature Rookies aka Genuine Article) did that with a few players. I no longer collect game used. So, if that did come out in the open, it wouldn't bother me. I just would not buy from that company and move on. Just like I bought a lot of Genuine Article packs when they came out. Found out a bunch of autographs were fake, I just boycotted that product and moved on. I didn't complain. If you have a problem trusting companies with game used and autographs, start collecting rookie cards or find another hobby to go into.

engaging in a "flame war" accomplishes other than making all involved look immature- and in my view, i tend to be less inclined to trade w/those individuals. if you have issues w/the companies beckett, sue them...i'm sure there's a lawyer who will be happy to take 33 1/3-40% off your "settlement." as for the person who posted the "special olympics" 'joke', that was in extremely poor taste, much like people who are making jokes about the fires in calif. (600,000+ acres have burned, 15+ lives have been lost, 1000s of homes have been lost, etc.) or people who make jokes about obese individuals, terrorists, african americans, or nearly any other ethnic group. anyone who gains any type of "humor" at the price of others is asking for poor karma and will also lose my respect.
