Just won on Ebay. I'll be happy to add it to my collection. Sometimes a BIN is way below what you wanted to pay anyway. At $70, a bargain would also be an understatement, but everything is in the eye of the beholder.

Needle sharp strike, the obv hair detail and the single leave that touches the band on the fasces is rounded.

I can tell you the coin will probably look MUCH better in hand.

I say this because while the coin you just bought doesn't apply here.... But he has several coins up that I used to own, and while his scans are OK, the coins in person are much better. Now please notice I said "I used to own them" and no longer is the case, and he is not selling them for me.

Just thought I would clarify that.

I think the seller is a member here. The name sounds familiar , either that or I have bought from him before, he does have other nice coins.

I agree with you on the 40-S, they are tough with nice toning. Good luck in your quest, but I am sure you will find one soon enough.

Thank you for the comments everyone, and Wingedliberty, I'm sure you'll be happy with the subject coin. The luster is fantastic, and the color doesn't hurt either.
I should have squeezed "MONSTER", or "PQ" in the title line, and asked $175 for the coin, is that what you are telling me????!!!!!!!
