Anybody need a job, Teletrade needs coin people!

Came across this and thought I would post it.


TELETRADE!
Teletrade is hiring coin customer service and coin administrative support positions. Must have numismatic knowledge and be willing to multi-task. Should be able to deal with customers, do data entry, enter bids, generate spreadsheets, type, and whatever else is needed to get the job done! Must be willing to learn all phases of the auction process.

TELETRADE is also seeking a person with basic knowledge of United States rare coins to enter a full-time researcher/cataloguer training/administrator position at one of America’s most prominent rare coin auction companies. The ideal candidate should have a familiarity with rare coins and a rudimentary understanding of rare coin grading criteria and values. In depth numismatic knowledge is not required, but helpful. A complete training program will be provided in a highly professional, enjoyable working environment. Excellent typing and writing skills, computer proficiency, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications are required. Related college coursework is a plus. A college degree is helpful, but not mandatory. This position will also require other office support activities such as answering phones, filing, typing, and whatever else is required to get the job done. Only those truly motivated, with an interest in numismatics as a career need apply. Also this job will require relocation to our Southern California Office.     If I happened to live in CA, I'd jump at that, but certainly I wouldn't voluntarily move into CA! image
  • I wouldn't mind doing some of that part time. I already have a great stressfull job and this might force me to break the stress!

  • It might be just as stressful as other jobs as you crank through coin by coin writing descrptions.

    Brad Johnson was doing that job in NY up to about a year ago. I wonder if the job became less fun and more like a rare coin factory.
    Teletrade is no longer an auction service but a vehicle to sell the coins they own via NACT and other sources. The internet auction biz is starting to boom and get more crowded. Too much easy money there to just let a few firms have it.
