Old PCGS Population Reports

I am a recent retiree trying to simplify my life as much as possible. I am in the process of getting rid of stuff I have accumulated over the years for which I no longer have use. I have a large closet full of boxes of paper ephemera related to coin collecting dating back to about 1982. I have approximately 75 issues of the PCGS population report, mainly 1988-1994, which I sorted by year and laid out on a large table. In examing these, I was struck by variety of different formats for this publication. In 1988-1989, it was spiral bound with a white cover. Subsequently, it had a staple-bound cheap sc format for a while before assuming sc cover format used from about 1991-present. From 2/1994-4/1994, it was printed on yellow paper for some reason (at least my copies were). The covers of the past 15 years' issues seem to change at least once or twice yearly. I have a couple of questions. Are there collectors/ researchers of PCGS pop report out there (like there are slab collectors)? Any suggestions as to value and how to liquidate these? I would sooner sell them to a collector/researcher as a group than put them on ebay. On a related subject, somewhere in that same closet are most if not all of the US mint mailings regarding issuance of modern commemoratives, US gold, silver and platinum eagles. Do people collect this stuff like they do for classic commemoratives? Michael

I'm extremely interested too... even if I can only get a couple of the older ones.

    When in doubt, don't.
  • You have a cool find. Slab collectors love to match up old things with their old slabs. I have a submission form for the Regency holder and a few old boxes including a NGC box that was used only in house years ago and now have all been thrown away.
