Anyone know the pedigree of the 1874-CC Buddy Ebsen dime?

It's listed in the Superior catalog as PCGS MS-63. I could have sworn it was raw when it was last auctioned (and not meeting reserve) in the Spring. Does anyone know this coin's pedigree and price history? I believe it's currently owned by Jim O'Donnell, but I could be wrong...

Sorry about that. Couldn't help it...

Buddy Ebsen was an avid coin collector, but I have no idea what became of his collection after his death in July of this year.
<< <i>Jed Clampett, not Jethro. >>
Geez...I KNOW that.
Anyway, I would try Breen's Encyclo. It might have some info.
Also, try David Lawrence's book...didn't he or someone he published do a book on Seated Dimes???

Jethro: "me and paw need some 4 x 2's"
Forman: "You mean 2 x 4's"
Jethro: "Nope, Paw said 4x2's"
Foreman: "Son, go ask yer paw"
Jethro goes over to the truck and sure enough comes back and tells the foreman:
"you was right, we need 2x4's"
"OK, no problem, how long ya need 'em"
"we're gonna need 'em for a while, we're buildin' a shed!"
I would go with the halves, there are alot of really nice busts in California, that wouldn't require liquidation of a collection and not that many really nice halves!

That's Jethro NORWEB, right??
Old guy fishing in pond, looks down and sees a little frog. Stoops down, picks up frog and starts to bait his hook with it.
Little frog says "Wait, wait, please don't hurt me. I'm an enchanted young woman, wise in the ways of the world, Kiss me and
break the enchantement. You won't be sorry!"
Old guy thinks a minute and puts little frog in his pocket.
Little frog says "What are you doing? Wouldn't you like to have a ravishing young woman to fulfill your every fantasy?"
Old guy says "Nope--at my age I'd rather have a talking frog."
I'll take the halves.
I will do some digging, but I am fairly certain that the Ebsen 1874-CC was a PCGS MS-62. I'll get back to you on this.
If anyone has a chance to pick up a copy of the catalog, DO IT, it has amazing PHOTOGRAPHIC plates (not the printed plates in today's Heritage/Superior/Bowers... catalogs)

Now, if you had one of those coins, would it be proper for PCGS to label it with an Ebsen provenance?

Billboat - I emailed Superior with my question over the weekend, but haven't heard back yet. Maybe a phone call will have better results.
