I remember posse members here saying this person changed his ebay handle recently to ward off trackers....but notice he has over 200 postives with 0 negatives...some of the positive responds mention AT eventhough he never does in his descriptions and emails. Wonder how many of his buyers spread his coins into the less knowledgable nooks and crannies of the country where they suck the money out of fooled NT thinking folks......like a old tire in a junkyard holding stagnant water for continuous breeding mosquitoes
That one's almost good enough to slab. ICG probably would. GRRRR...........
>>>>>Wonder how many of his buyers spread his coins into the less knowledgable nooks and crannies of the country>>>>> That's what ticks me off! If it was one little doctor selling his junk @ one little flea market the spread of these things would be more contained. Being sold through a world wide venue like eBay spreads these things to collectors & dealers that otherwise would never have the chance to be shanked by AT junk.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
I emailed the seller to find out how the coin got its color. This was his response:
HI SO SORRY, I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT THE COLORS FROM. ALSO I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT ALL COINS YET. I JUST ORDERED AND SELL. I DON'T THINK THE COINS USED CHEMICALS TO COLORS, BECAUSE I SENT TO GRADE THEM AND THEY GOT SLABBED BY ICG, ANACS, PCI .......AS MY LIST ON EBAY. AND I AM SELLING THESE RAW COINS BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO WAIT TO GRADE, I NEED MONEY NOW. YOU HAVE A NICE HOLIDAY!
Last night we had salmon cooked on the Barby on a Cedar plank board. Changed the color of the salmon and sure tasted good. Might be worth a try on a $.
"newsman, You dont work for the National Enquirer do you?"
No, I work for a news agency based in a certain European country which will remain nameless. But sometimes the ethics are similar. Actually, I wish there was some kind of publication that would care about articles exposing numismatic fraud because I would love to write them. I doubt if CW would buy them because they'd lose most of their advertisers.
A good reason to learn as much as possible first and to look before leaping on purchases. Whether it's dipping, AT, whizzing, artificial frosting, reproofing, dremeling, mercury dipping, tooling, counterfeiting, plugging, or whatever, it's getting harder to find good coins. It won't be the death of the hobby, but it sure is going to be a nasty sore on it.
GSA -- I have a tonecoin2003 special waiting to go to PCGS, but it isn't any of his most recent offerings. I'm considering purchasing a few to see what a reputable 3rd Party Service has to say about the originality of the color.
If someone wants to help CoinReports.com, buy a few of his offerings, send them to me and we'll pay for the slabbing fees.

How does a seller, with no idea about coins, buy and sell coins, and make anything? Is he getting them from "Coins 'R' Us"? Is Finger Hut selling discount coins? Or has he discovered the 'Super Secret Wholesale Coin Distributor' ? Sounds like another ebay seller playing dumb.
It's interesting that the tone, style and language of his email match his auction descriptions. Like you, I would guess he knows what to say to attract bidders.

Don't you think we ought to have a few of these in our inventory of AT'd pieces for future reference?
