Looking for an 1856 FE Cent (any grade)

I'm looking for an 1856 Flying Eagle Cent in any grade, I just want the coin. The catch is, I'm moving soon and am limited to $2,000 per month that I can spend. If there is a dealer out there willing to work with me on payments of $2,000 per month I would be happy to take you up on the offer. I would be more than happy to pay interest for your time. Please PM me with any offers you have. This is a very serious offer.

Jim sold his on ebay right after he relisted it via buy it now.
I really should have kept that one but wife would have killed me owning 2 of them.

That VG on ebay actually doesn't look too darn bad!
  • I saw one at Balt. I picked it up and examined the coin. It was
PCGS VF-20 so that might have been one you would have wanted. I
just don't recall exactly what they wanted but it was priced right.
I was actually giving a little bit of thought at the time of
trying to make a deal on the coin since I couldn't find what I
wanted at the show but I decided in the end against buying
something I didn't set out to buy in the first place. I always look
at 1856 FE's at any show, quite an historic coin. I don't blame you
    for wanting one.

they are bringing STRONG money!!! Jim sold my old one for 7650 I think on ebay via buy it now! It was a VF25!
That is 1200 more than I paid for my PCGS AU50 about 1 year ago!

I have to think that the only reason that VG doesn't sell on ebay is because of the holder.

I know, they are a popular coin even for non copper collectors like
myself. It's historic with so many patterns and different alloy
compositions along with an exceedingly low mintage in mint state
or proof that makes it all the more desirable. Who didn't grow up
    knowing about this coin?

I am not desperate for one because I saw the light early on in my
collecting and was fortunate to pick up two in the 1970's. I knew
that sooner or later I would have to have one and they were only
going to go up in price. Mine come from the Beck hoard that was
sitting in that Pittsburg bank and later sold. I bought a couple
raw ones from Julian Leidman that are gorgeous for $2000
each. I took out a loan from the bank. When you buy them raw
from a dealer and years later you get them certified and they come
back nice high grades from PCGS it tells you something about
the dealer, right? Back then all coins were raw. When it came
to the bigger ticket items I was not yet ready to chance
it myself so I had him get me all my key coins back then,
    all high grade PCGS now.

Another interesting note. I was at his coin store back then and I
couldn't decide which one to buy. He told me to take them both home
and think about it for the weekend. No money down. The next week I
told him I couldn't decide so I bought both of them. So that's how I
    got my pair.
