    Link

When you post - just click the "http" button above the window. It's less keystrokes than "link please" image

That auction title seems a bit deceptive to me.

  • Please don't start a link with oops...........it makes us all cringeimage...........and please don't send early copper to and grading service that starts with N..................interesting how they upped the grade, and dissed the coin at the same time...............p.s. Yes there are a number of benefits and risks in playing the "crackout" game; and this is one. In addition any time you have an exposed coin, there is always the possibility of an accident (i.e., damaging the coin). Another bad outcome, particularly for unusually toned coins is the dreaded BB. And the list goes on...

I don't like e-bay auctions with coins claiming they came from a so and so holder..... there is absolutely no proof.

I disagree. I think it's completely deceptive. The coin is not certified by NGC, simple as that.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

the stupidity is that ngc failed to certifiy this coin. what kind of idiot thinks a 1794 large-cent that nice can't be graded? & why do you waste your $ subsidizing such stupidity?

you will be able to sell that coin raw w/ no problems.

maybe they got there crackouts confused and they really sent a few in at the same time

It's a great business plan. There are a limited number of coins to be certified. By "making mistakes" they double or triple the amount of material for which they can generate a fee, as long as people are foolish enough to accept it.

Neither PCGS nor NGC know how to grade early copper. An Indian or a Lincoln cent can be played with to the Nth degree to make it R&B or Red, and into an holder it goes. But if there is ONE MINOR THING, real or imagined, on early copper, back it comes in a body bag.

I REFUSE to use NCS holders. They are a reward to NGC for bad behavior and ignorance. If I have a problem coin, its goes to ANACS. To HELL with NCS holders!!!!!!!!
