Greetings from Boston!

Hello All!
Long time lurker, first time poster. I've spent many months reading these boards and thought I should introduce myself and say thanks for all the great stories, advice and information.
I look forward to participating in future topics.

And more importantly, how in the world do you maintain your sanity driving in that town!
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
I'm glad you're here
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the
moments that take our breath away.
It's always nice to see lurkers come out of the woodwork.
Well, almost always...

Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you sumthin' . . . . that ain't no optical illusion, it only looks like an optical illusion.
My mind reader refuses to charge me. . . . . . .
Let's see... I started collecting proof sets a couple of years ago and have managed to complete the run starting from 1954. I've since moved on to Frankies, Kennedys and buffalo nickels.

We ARE watching you.
Of coure since Boston is your home this may not be news to you, but it does suggest a thread that might be of interest. It would be neat if posters from various cities could enlighten others on the board what is of numismatic interest in their communities in the event others of us get a chance to travel through them at some future date.
P.S. We like coin pictures

The place you're referring to is The Old State House. Built in 1713, this was the headquarters of the British Government in Boston.
The Boston Massacre occurred just outside its doors in 1770. It is the oldest surviving public building in Boston. Now a Museum of Boston History, it is located at the corner of State and Washington Streets. Inside you will find on display, historical documents, period clothing, continental currency and 18th century artwork.
It's one of the major stops on the Freedom Trail. If anyone plans a trip to Beantown, the Freedom Trail is a great take-in for the day.
