Thank you (I will) and NO I don't want to cause him any problems or grey hairs. Looks like you're up butcha gotsta sell as cheap as he does!
OK, can we all be friends again?? (YES!) Everyone understands now that A- Roger wants cert #'s when deciding to buy coins.(Only if I ask) B- Mark has a system that he likes to use when listing and selling coins that doesn't include certs.(It does now) C- Wondercoin has valiantly offered to sell to anyone.(Thank God)
I think that we have people getting mad on 'principle' right now; just take a deep breath, realize that no one is accusing anyone of illegal behavior, (VERY true) smile, and remember that the reason we are here is that we all enjoy this hobby. It is supposed to be fun, remember? (Yes) <B>

Mitch is a good man. The mere assertion that he would even consider doing something unethical is how these things get started in the first place. To assume I am not doing business with EVERY major Lincoln seller is also naive. If Mitch gets more of my business good for him.

Mitch- it seems only fair you would have your turn "in the barrel" as David Hall was needlessly and shamelessly disparaged on the Coin Forum.
Although I sure wish people would pick and choose their targets in an orderly fashion. I would recommend alphabetical order, but that's just me.
Pat: As you know, the first time "in the barrel" is tough. Then, every time in the barrel gets easier and easier to deal with. You need to grow thick skin to stick around here for years - that's just a fact.

Steve, I was thinking it was just the oposite. Lame and feable thinking to slam a Dealer over the internet using a persona that is not traced to the author. Double that dose of insanity when it is coupled with thoughtless "facts" of pure speculation.

Ive had the same experience and the cert# security is a bunch of crap. If i wanted to plug my registry set, all I have to do is go to Heritage Archives. If someone uses my cert# PCGS jumps on the problem immediately. I enjoy posting after I purchase too and Datetype always refuses cert#'s. If someone elese is selling same coin, I bypass his auctions.

Oh My God - THANK YOU - I must not be insane after all.
I have been on this board for a long time and read every day. I rarely post on this board, probably because I don't have much to say, until now. I see some people here with literally thousands of posts and not alot to say, with the exception of a few. The few today seems to be "Recents".
I have read these 70+ posts and I just can't believe my eyes. Redcents, You are publicly embarrasing a well known and respected coin dealer, (Which I have personally bought dozens of coins from) without merit. Merit being your mad because he didn't send you a #. Actually you are embarrasing yourself.
I personally see that you are a # chaser as described in an earlier post. It is rediculous to continue to BASH this man.
Here it is in a nutshell, point blank and listen carefully: 1) If you have a problem with date-n-type, DON"T BUY FROM HIM. 2) Fix your problems 1:1, not in public.
I'm offically TIRED of reading your posts and WILL NOT RESPOND to any comments you make to MY post. I also have a right to say what I want, but in my case, I have thought things out.
To Date-n-type: you alone have made my dime set what it is today, and thats something you can be proud of, and for that "I thank you".
"EVP: Please excuse my ignorance, but I just don't understand. Do you work for Legend? "
Steve (Registrycoin): I have received a bunch of very positive and friendly PM's and the answer to your question (which frankly surprised me as well) is 'YES". Judging from the PM's I received, I can certainly understand why you asked the question and your surprise as well. I also do not attribute the meanspirited "shot" to Legend and can plainly understand now why someone might want to maintain 2 different handles.

I too have received some PMs that seem to clear the picture. Most seem to think Steve from Legend is just going through "growing pains" due to the new job...
Ruffle some feathers did I??? Well, that's understandable -- at least for WC. As for RegistryCoin, I've no idea why he's hurt. I have no idea who Steve (aka RegCoin) is, nor did I know of his association with WC.
As I see it, I was trying to point out a problem with airing one's dirty laundry so publicly, and that there can easily be scumbags lurking and waiting to take advantage of other's problems. That I misunderstood WC is unfortunate, and I apologized for impugning his reputation falsely.
I think I've explained my actions, and if WC is dissatisfied with it then he can PM me and we'll deal with it privately as others have suggested. As for RC (Steve), I fail to understand his behavior, his feeling of hurt, and his over-inquisitiveness regarding who I am.
Most of all, I fail to understand how a simple "apology and apology accepted" failed to put this to rest. Do you really want to know who I am? I've been a very private person from the first day I registered here. Give me one good reason why I should set aside my possibly neurotic desire to remain private...
As for those who've PM'ed you to tell you who I am (or who I'm not), I doubt that anyone here who really knows me would've divulged any accurate info about me. But, in case you do find out the great mystery behind EVP, you've already realized that it was all a big waste of effort. I am an uniquely un-special individual, much like everyone else around here.
If you like, you may call me Emil Victor Parnell.

PS It's kinda cool to be the subject of a sub-thread...
Someone once asked me if I was TDN. I don't recall exactly my answer, but I think I said "no." Too bad, 'cuz I would like to be him with his money and his coins...
Now, just to show everyone how un-special I am, I'm in the middle of doing my laundry. I'm about to do the dishes and vaccuum my place. If I were truly special, I'd have someone else do my chores for me. However, if anyone wants to be friendly and come over to help, I'd be most grateful.
I have not been on the boards for months and I come back to see Datentype being bashed by redcent. Well my 2 cents (Lincoln's) worth is the fact that I built my #1 registry set with quite a bit of help from Mark (and Wondercoin as well) and I think redcent needs to just buy from someone else and leave Mark alone!
Just my opinion and if you don't like it, DON"T pm me or complain to me because I quite frankly don't give a rats butt about what you think of my opinion. It is America and I'm free to give it.
I can claim being #1. Can you!

I can't use logic because you do not understand it. Mark owes you nothing. He puts coins up for auction and you chose to buy from him. He is the seller and therefore the selling terms are his to set, not yours to make up. If you disagree with him or his auctions, do not bid. I'll be darn if I am going to sit here however and listen to you say he his somehow wronged you. You as a buyer only have whatever rights the seller gives you. You can demand nothing as it is only your game if you so chose to participate. Once you chose to do so, you chose to accept his terms. NOT MAKE UP YOUR OWN. This my good man is logic and you just don't get it. Please feel free to not bid on any Lincoln's that I may try to sell.
