i think he only collects 06's. actually dog cracks me up. he focuses on one caliber and one year of moderns. i kind of admire that single-minded sense of purpose and direction, probably cause i'm all over the place!!image

My parole officer frowns on it.
That humanity at large will ever be able to dispense with artificial paradises seems unlikely. Most men and women lead lives at the worst so painful, and at the best so monotonous, poor, and limited, that the urge to escape, the longing to transcend themselves, if only for a few moments, is and always has been one of the principal appetites of the soul.

Be interesting to see a geographic breakdown, too. I'll bet few, if any, of the firearms are in the Northeast, and most are in Texas.

Also, I should add I have a .22 rifle. Have used it to shoot rabbits chomping at my vegetable garden.

I have too many and don't feel like listing them all out (my father and I have been collecting for some time). My favorite modern gun is my Beretta Cougar .45 with walnut grips (limited edition) which is smooth as silk and will never misfire/jam. I also like my Beneli Nova 12g SemiAuto for hunting. Most of our collective guns are vintage civil war and late 1800's early 1900's models but we have our share of modern. My dad loves his Kimbers while I am still attached to Beretta's. Together we probably own 40 guns and I shoot every chance I get. Bewteen my dogs and my home protection I don't own nor need a safe for my coins.

    I don't know exactly how many I have. It's a bunch.
I have, as Spooly said, a MRI Lone Eagle 30-06 hand cannon.
I have ammo too. At least 100 rounds per gun that I don't shoot much up to several thousand rounds per gun that I shoot often.
    Yes, I reload.
    No, I don't hunt.

I have lever action Marlin that shoots 45/70 and I just love it! I would like to find a trap-door single action one of these days.
