AU58. Nice slider. Look right above the ear and you can see the slight rub. Somewhat deceptive since it first appears as a weak strike. Nice coin.

My vote would be MS, but the color looks very strange. Does the picture depict the color correctly?

It's a cleaned AU. The color looks very unnatural anthough like they say scans and pictures may not tell the whole story.

A "real" MS064, R&B will cost you $50 or so. An R&B MS-65 will run you less than $100. Red MS-64 go for a shade less the $200; MS-65's are around $350.

The luster has been stripped away with some form of cleaning so it doesn't matter. Value of XF to AU. The flatness seen over the ear, on the diamond ribbon center, and lower hair curl is often seen on unworn MS coins.

Thanks for all the responses, Took another look at the actual coin and the color is a little darker and more red around the edges and there seems to be a slight difference in color from the fields to around the lettering so cleaned sounds like?Heres another from the same dealer this one was for$7 and now that I think of it the 06 was for $15

The 1898 has been worked on too. Coins like this are worth $5 to $10 if you are willing to put up with them. I'm not willing to bother with them, neither as a dealer or as a collector. There "worked on well" which looks pretty natural and can be worthwhile at $15 to $25, and there is "worked on badly," which how that 1906 looks.

In the coin business if you are treated fairly you get what you pay for. The good deals don't come up and bite you in the leg most of the time.

There is a good chance that Indian would come back as "Recolored." Seems to be getting all too common on slider Indians. I have to admit though, the recoloring I usually see is not unatractive strictly from an aesthetic point of view.
