I do on occasion, but when I have time I typically post on RCC. (rec.collecting.coins) which is a Usenet newsgroup. I find it's interface more friendly and I don't have to enter my username or password on RCC each time I post.
Really, it's mostly a matter of available time for me. I'm a full time coin & currency dealer from upstate NY, having moved into this field from a successful career as a real state broker for many, many years. Started collecting US coins as a kid, my collecting interests were resurrected in about 1973.
I rarely buy for my collections since I became a full-time dealer but I had grown bored with real estate and property management and although I'm not fond of constantly travelling all over the couuntry (can get lonely at times) overall it's been a blast!
I've done business with many here on the Coin Universe Forum and its always been a very positive experience to do a deal with Forum and RCC folks.
I won't deal with ACG, NTC or PCI slabbed coins, keeping mostly to PCGS, NGC and in circs the occasional ANACS certified coin. Appwearance is everything in my opinion, and many of my collegus think I'm unreasonably fussy. That's why I travel so much. I must see the coin before I buy it for inventory or a customer.
My specialties are Lincoln Cents, Indian and Flying Eagle cents, particularly the 1856 FE, and Type, particularly early Type.
Ira....i used to go to and post at rec.collecting.coins before i found this forum. I switched to this forum because it seemed as though the folks here were more advanced and that RCC was populated by more beginners.
What is your general impression about the quality of the participants at each place?
By the way, feel free to speak openly. No one here has a short fuse or is likely to take offense at anything. (Which reminds me...where is Pushkin, Cointoast and AgentJim007?)
Adrian, the posters are more advanced here than on RCC with about 25 RCC regulars who are exceptions to that statement, but I feel the newbies need my advice on RCC so I try to help 'em out there.

We could use your help and input over here too. You would get use to the format pretty quickly I think.
Don't worry you have nothing to fear from me. TDN and Anaconda... now that's another story.
BTW, Hamstaconda has grown to be one of the most beloved children's morning cartoon shows the cartoon network has ever launched. The ratings are through the roof.

It's absolutely real. Compare to my 1922 No D PCGS VF35 now on eBay as a comparison.
Looks like a decent EF45, scuff and all. I'm an expert on the 1922 No D as many know (if I do say so myself)

Hope I did the link correctly.
In fact, I've seen some slabbed AU50s that look no better, except for a bit more detail on reverse, which takes 80% of the grade on these Die Pair 2s.
