Slab Collectors Unite!

How many people actually collect old slabs? I know alot of people bought conder101's book, but has it mae you go out and look for old slabs? I wonder how many slab collectors there are in the U.S.

    actually, I do have a pretty diverse collection of slab types, old and new PCGS and NGC models ICG and ANACS coins, and some and various other services including SEGS, PCI, and even an ACG example, but I bought them for the coins, they just happened to have various cases. No, I don't buy sample slabs or others with ordinary coins or coins I dont like in them, just for the plastic.

    ....inflation must be kicking in again this dollar says spend by Dec. 31 2004!

    I have various sample slabs. Of course, they're all 1964 Kennedy Halves.

    My two favorites: An NGC Black Slab and an NGC coin that was the eighth coin graded that first couple of days of operation!
    (Mr. Lange confirmed that for me a few years back.)

    i estimate i have well in excess of 1000 slabs. curiously, not a single 1 has a coin in it....

    Well I guess it goes without saying that I'm a fairly serious slab collector.
