I do not know about his future plans, but I do know that he has just completed his work on the Judd update. I saw him in St. Louis, but only had a chance to say hello. He looked well and I am sure that he will be back dealing, cataloging and auctioning numismatic properties, in the hopefully near future.

I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

He may eventually have an active role in American Numismatic Rarities. Hope he spends all his free time writing for the benefit of all us.

I think I read in a previous thread that he must sit out for a period of time (a year? two?) as a condition of his leaving B&M.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Much of the old crew of Bowers is working at American Numismatic Rarities. I spoke with Frank Van Halen several weeks ago. I don't know what type of role Mr. Bowers will have with this entity, but he will be a part of it, I am sure of that.

From what I picked up at EAC, QDB is having to sit out of the coin business for two years due to contract non-competition clauses. After that I expect to see him back. In the meantime he'll probably doing some more researching and writing.
