A Heritage complaint.

Paid for an item via the telephone last monday. They said "we'll ship it out today, you 'll receive it in 3-5 business days." I usually receive it with in 2 days. That was over a week ago. No package. I called, they checked, their answer "We don't know why it wasn't shipped, but when we say 3 -5 days, that means its 3 -5 days for us to ship it, then 3 - 5 days to be delievered by the mail". What pure B.S.

  • Thing, They have always shipped within 2 days. You might be the victim of a auction closing. They have been great shipping auction items. That is B.S. on the 3 - 5 days to ship.

This is a pretty lame excuse for a complaint. Come back when you have something real to bitch about.

Given the price I paid, I would expect better service.

  • Same thing happened to me. I had to email them twice before they took payment. I'm not complaining though! imageimage

ARCO that sucks - now you have to decide if you want to pay for it.

Heritage is too busy sending out coins fast to worry about expensive paper with some ink on it.
  • I've had similar problems as of late.....got one coin but never got charged...kept sitting on my invoice as past due. Got that straightened out. Won a coin in the bullet sale last week...called and gave them my info, and they never processed it.

First time I've had any issues with them...I think they're getting way too far ahead of themselves right now.

Heritage seems to send me "payment overdue" notices as soon as the auction is over. Heck, maybe they even predict which lots I will win and send them out BEFORE the auction. Another time I gave them a credit card number over the phone & it took them two days to figure out the number didn't work (turns out I had a limit on the card for phone orders that I didn't know about).

This is not the way it works in the numismatic literature realm. It is a very clubby atmosphere where most people know each other & all the dealers there send me lots as soon as the auctions are over & worry about getting paid later.
  • I think they are trying too hard to please. It's starting to comeback and bite them on their arse. Personally, for the one time they mess up; they do it right the next twelve times! image
