1885cc Gsa, and a white one too!!!

stmanstman Posts: 11,352 ✭✭✭✭✭
Bought this a couple weeks ago. I scanned it at high DPI to go ahead and show the marks it has. Very lite streak in hair doesn't hardly show in person. I been collecting Gsa toners, but even like the white ones as I know they haven't been messed with. I have my opinion of grade go ahead and feel free and give yours.
Thanks. The marks are very small and don't break into the metal if that helps.

Oh my gawd!! You mean they still make white coins?
Pretty clean no major stuff except for a few light contacts in the prime focals and the strike is decent. 64 for sure. I'm thinking too many contacts on the face for a 65.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

I've seen CC $s in 5 holders with those kind of contact marks on the face (I
own one of them). The only thing that concerns me is that the coin appears
to be softly struck re the hair over Miss Liberty's ear (OTOH, it could be the
lighting). If it is the former, I wouldn't call it a 5, because strike is usually
not a problem with these coins.
