Confederate gold $5 and $20- what's the story about them?

Confederate gold $5 and $20 replicas on Ebay----I can find these replicas for sale, but I wonder what is the story about them. These have a different design from the U.S. $5 and $20. I don’t think any were actually made in gold, and I can’t find them in the Guide Book.. Were these proposed coins that never came to fruition, or are these fantasy coins that never existed? Or did these coins once exist, but not any more? Why would these be stamped COPY if there were no originals? I know there was a Confederate cent and half dollar, and there was a “Jefferson Davis dime” that I think was actually a medalet (small medal).

The Confederacy DID strike 1 dollar gold pieces in Dahlonaga, half eagles in Charlotte, and double eagles in New Orleans, but all of these were struck using U S A dies. They also struck half dollars in New Orleans (as did the State of Louisiana.) using Union dies as well. The so called 5 and 20 dollar confederate coins shown in your links are complete fantasies. They do not need to be maked copy because they are not copies, or even close, of any genuine coin.
