Is there any database or location of records to track the owners of PCGS graded coins?

Ever seen the wheres george stamps on dollar bills? Something like that.

None that I know of. Many collectors wouldn't want their slabbed coins tracked to them. It seems like a neat idea, but I wouldn't want the coins I bought from an auction posted on a website.

Tracking the actual owners would be impossible, I'd settle for a well maintained online database of prices realized for all the major auctions. That would be a monumental task in itself. Ecoinage.com has a fairly good one, though it's missing some auction data. Here's an example of their CoinTrac for 1877 MS Indian Heads link.

No, the chip embedded in the hologram only tells the slab's location, not who the owner is. As long as you keep them in a bank vault where a lot of other collectors also keep theirs, the Feds won't be able to unscramble the ID's. Take them out on a weekend to sell them, and you'll have nothing to worry about.
