Anyone watch the NCS Teletrade auction yesterday?

Wondered how the action was.image

Pennies make dollars, and dollars make slabs!

....inflation must be kicking in again this dollar says spend by Dec. 31 2004!

I watched it for a bit, but it was 90% junky Binion Morgans, so there wasn't much to see.

I bought 5 junker Morgs. 3 had virtually no bids, 1 had a little action and snipers tested me on 1 because the price went up almost $40 in the last several minutes and I had to fight for it.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    Dog,

    Pick up any cool fingerprints?

No prints Russ. I guess the most interesting thing I got was a holed Morgan. I believe it was the one Mr. Binion had in his pocket when he was assassinated in his casino. The bullet actually passed through the coin then entered Mr. Binions body where the lead poisoning killed him. A very unique slabbed coin with the Binion Provenance.
BTW, one of the ones that generated no interest.

  • Now if NGC put that on the label like that SEGS pedigree of "FedX damage", I would buy it.

    Hey Dog,

What caliber was the bullet? We talking 44mag here, or something wimpy like a 32?

Yep! That's mine now. And the one several lots before it I think, the 21-P with the advertising sticker on it.
