Here's one I sold on eBay a while ago. (It was a consignment- I wish it had been mine).
We got $2,500 for it. A few months later I saw it in a dealer's case at the 2002 FUN show in Orlando, with a crazy pricetag. Probably $1K more than we sold it for. Small world. There was no doubt it was the same coin- I copied down the cert # and compared it to this old pic I'd saved. Maybe I'll see it again one day. If I ever do, and it doesn't have a crazy pricetag, I might have to buy it for myself. (It would be destiny, right? Hahaha. Yeah, sure.)
According to Dr. Sheldon, this was on of the last "early cents." This one was in the Ruby Collection.
