I got an offer to buy approx. $100 face mostly pre-1900-use greysheet?

This guy I talked to got an offer of 2.5-3x face for these. These are apparently circulated barbers, buffs, morgans, etc.

If I went to buy them to sell most but probably keep some is using the CDN as a guide reasonable. Or use it and back off a percentage amount.

They are probably ebay type stuff.

I figure buying them as generic and cherrypick if possible.

thanks in advance,

Matt

It is fair to offer the seller generic AG-G pricing for these coins. However, do you really think it is worth your time to go through that material hoping you'll find something worth keeping? I would doubt it.

As a kid, I used to do this re rolls of coin. At that time, there were still plenty of circulating coins of numismatic value around, and I did find a 1924 S Nickel in F 12. However, I think what you will see has already been well picked over. I'd pass.

Pay 2.5x face for the silver. The dollars are worth a little more, and the buffalo's etc. worth less.
Circ. buff's and wheaties are tough to get real money for, so you don't want to pay much for that stuff.
