    Rays,

That makes the most sense to me, but certainly Russ deserves the opportunity to respond. These petty flame threads are becoming tiresome. When my four year old tattles to me his four year old friend pushed him, I tell him to go work it out with the other kid. I do not understand why an adult with a gripe like this needs the input, support, backbone, advice, etc. of thirty or more adults.

    Russ,

Your response confirms that you are the gentleman you always appear to be.

ah, you're right. i thought the first "F" was floor. i guess i had my F's confused.

ebay will pull threads that show member ID's in the title. These days they will pull a thread faster than you can say "non paying bidder" if the topic blurb puts a member in a bad/unfavorable light right from the get go.

    That is to ebay's credit.

I am not taking sides or anything, I just personally think that as most of us have given Russ the benefit or the doubt on possibly making a mistake or not, I think we should do the same for jamesfsm. I mean come on...he is without guilt, let him cast the first stone. I think if we all practiced some self control, mercy, love and kindness this forum would be a better place.

There was nothing improper done when he requested a fee credit for a return. I think the eBay mail about the return speaks for itself.

    I just bought 3 coins from him - he charged $3.95 S/H.

Each coin was in a Safe-T-Mailer placed in a bubble mailer and there was $3.72 in postage and insurance on the envelope.

I think this "CompuCheap" guy is a cheapskate and started the whole thing. Come-on, how much can a colorful Kennedy be worth, anyway; maybe 76 cents and why would the cheapo file to have 2 or 3 cents refunded?? I can't believe how cheap some people are! I've heard from reliable sources (I won't mention names [CLARK OF KENT]) that he makes his own beer and wine in his basement along with his DCAM Accented hair coins!image

<< <i>may I suggest in the future, just a suggestion, that you email the buyer before filing with ebay. >>

    Baseball,

You can bet I'll be doing that. I made the mistake of assuming that the eMail sent out by eBay is written clearly enough that anybody, particularly in this case somebody who claims to be a lawyer, would be able to understand it.

BTW, Claus is just joking around.image

    Claus,

I don't know how you could have made your statement any more clear except by possibly using the word "SARCASM" in size 500 font every other word. course, then the humor is lost and why bother post?

An Ebay seller just never knows what crazy reason will be used to hold him/her up for public ridicule. image

  • misunderstandings do happen and I do not believe anyone thinks badly about Russ. please people, think before you act, contact the seller first and try to work things out. if you can't work things out, take them to court, the CU court.

Unfounded and undeserved. I have bought a couple of coins from Russ, he is primo.

Ah yes...the old "Drive-by" trolling. I wouldn't sweat it, Russ...Only a first-class dickhead would hit and run like that. Considering he hasn't shown up again, I think it speaks volumes of his credibility.

SOUNDS LIKE THE FAULT HERE IS WITH EBAY

The edit is a start but I think he only got it about half-right.

  • Baseball, I agree. I'm not sure who he was sorry to, Russ or the forum.image

Pretty lame apology for raking a good guys name through the mud. Anyone got the ID for the bidder block list?
  • relayerrelayer Posts: 10,570

I knew when eBay posted this they didn't know what they were talking about.

Glad to see they owned up to it and didn't try to blame somebody elseimage

A good job Jamesfsm. Glad you realized you made an error and corrected it. For the future, those silly little non-paying bidder e-mails are harmless. Don't let them excite you in the future. image
