Really bad experience with Pinnacle Rarities !!!

Sorry Mark, but I notice you are not posting as much and this should
keep you busy today.image

Actually, there might not be a single reply to this post and that says it all. image

But if there is, I bet I can name several of the posters now, and I know you can handle it. image

I tell ya what's really bad about Pinnacle. They purposely post coins on their web site that they know I want to buy.imageimage

I love Pinnacle's coins but the pricing is a challenge for me economically. I think a great move would be to lower all online pricing by 25%. That would greatly enhance my customer experience.

You know, Mark showed me this god awful Columbian Expo Commem @ Long Beach and tried to actually say it was nicer then one of my toned Peaces $. Geeezzz, what was he thinking. The coin reminded me of a rusted out Vega! imageimageimage

    (Inside joke)

I don't know about Pinnacle, I can't afford their coins, but Mark is a great guy and I trust him completely.

Laura, when a coin dealer, ( using term coin dealer loosely here ),
outwardly commits fraud or bad business practices towards me, I will try every means available, ( without being sued ), to expose them for what they are.
So I can imagine your expression when you saw this thread.
I am only joking here, of course, with Pinnacle.

The problem with Pinnacle is that their coins are too nice, their deals are too good, and their service is too excellent. This means it is too easy to spend too much money.image

I've had several really really bad bad experiences with Pinnacle Rarities.
Everytime I deal with them they take my $$ and several days later send me a coin that looks a lot like the one in the picture.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

The only real trouble I've had with Pinochle Rarities is that it's too
rare to get a quadruple pinochle or quadruple aces in this cut-throat game.

So is it Coinguy1's fault. Hmmmm.

Mark is a cool guy and soon I'll find out personally how well he grades compared to PCGS. The problem I have with Pinnacle Rarities is that they do not offer coins that I can afford. If it is not MS-65 or better, they don't seem to want to touch them.

I started this thread because I was confident nobody could or would flame Pinnacle. I did it on impulse, but now I am thinking I took some liberty with Pinnacle's name. As it turned out, just about everybody agrees with my high regard for Pinnacle-Rarities. Whew !

BAT CRAP !! I picked the wrong day to rattle Mark's cage. I received the following e-mail from Pinnacle. Oh well, there is always Legend, or Rare Coins Of New Hampshire.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for posting our name on the message board!! Phones started ringing
soon after your post. I understand you East Coasters have a three-hour
head start on us but I respectfully request you refrain from those sort of
posts until we've had ample time to have some coffee !! Yikes. OK, we're
    awake now !!

As you know, I very rarely read the board since I'm confident in Mark's
ability to consistently represent the views of my company with integrity
and honor. Regardless, I found your post to be quite witty and I thank you
    for that !!

Unfortunately, your whole thread (which I assume was meant to get Mark to
consider hara-kiri) fell on deaf ears. Mark is away from his office (and
computer) until Monday. Be assured, if/when he calls in for messages, I
will strongly encourage him to get on-line immediately !!

    Todd L. Imhof
    Pinnacle Rarities, Inc.

Feel free to post the above message which will explain why Mark has failed
    to reply. Thanks and regards

My guess is he took one look at the thread's title and remembered
he had some vacation days coming. Maybe we can keep it on top
    till Monday.

Thanks for a really fun thread, folks. image

I am, indeed, away on vacation until Sunday and, contrary to rumor, I did not have advance notice of a Pinnacle flame thread and leave town as fast as possible.

Zerbe, Todd made good on his promise to try to get me to look at this thread ASAP - I called the office to check in and he told me to get on line as fast as I could because there was a negative thread about us. I explained that I had a lunch date with Mrs. coinguy1 and would get on line later, which I did. I am proud to say I kept that lunch date!image And, I am obviously relieved and pleased with the true nature of this thread.

    Thanks, again, to all.

Not at the past long beach show, but at the one before, i was at the Pinnale booth. I didn't get to meet coinguy, but I'll tell you what those cats were guilty of, they were guilty of having some of the finest commem halves I have ever seen.
