Your recommendations re where to buy books on early U.S. coinage

I am looking into buying the nicest Draped Bust Coinage I can afford. First, however, I want to get some of the books on early U.S. coins.
At the moment, I have Noyes two volume set on Large Cents, Breen's updated book on Early Large Cents, and Breen's all inclusive book he wrote in 1989.

I'm looking at either Cohen or Breen on Half Cents, etc. Whom would you recommend in terms of having the appropriate books & the best prices?

"Sou Mangueira......."

I'd say an Overton half book is in order, though I don't yet have one myself. Sheldon for large cents. And so on.

Edit: you were asking for a good book dealer? I met a nice fella at the FUN and ANA Charlotte shows.

    John H. Burns, Huntingdon, PA.

No email address on his card, though. image

'Fraid I don't know. We have a few good dealers here, though.

  • Try Charlie Davis (numislit@aol.com). He's a top flight numismatic literature dealer and an all round good guy.
  • John and Charles are first class...I'm afraid John doesn't have email (I believe). Charles should be able to get it though. Stanton's Books are also a good source, but for newer material mostly...
    Hope this helps
