The word is out about FB Roosevelts

I was shut out today by a dealer after picking out some nice FB Roosies (49-S)(48-S)(51-S). He said he was told that they are now bring big money and he would not sell any till he know what to charge.
I guess I have to find one that is not enlighten yet.

Some FB Roosies will be as common as dirt, even in MS67 grade ; a few dates should be tough as nails. It should all become very obvious this time next year image Wondercoin

"FB Roosies will be as common as dirt, even in MS67 grade" Really? Wow! With all the fuss that is being made about the designation, I would have expected a different response. Thanks Wondercoin! image

It would be wise to let the dust settle a bit on this Roosevelt designation. If you jump in feet first at high prices, you could get cut off at the ankles. image
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I agree with Bill totally on this one.

And, as the author of this thread points out, even the sellers quoting prices may not be intentionally overcharging or undercharging, as they will be simply guessing as well for a period of time.

What do you mean, "after picking out" ? he had them in books, you picked them out of them and then he said "oh wait, I don't want to sell those." Sounds kinda bad to me.

They were set aside, I bought all the one's in the trays last week. He offered them to me then but I did not have the time to look so I want back this week and no sale.
