Coin World Trends = Reality?

Hi everyone, I was looking through my Coin World today and noticed that the value of my ANA/PNG MS61 graded 1875s 20-cent piece is now $900.00 (MS60=$800.00, MS62=$1,000.00).
My questions are:
What percentage of that value would/should I expect to receive from:
1.) A dealer,
2.) An Ebay Auction,
3.) A private collector?
I want to add that the piece in this post has moderate to heavy purple/blue toning (if that adds/subtracts from the value).
Another thing before I submit this post, since this is an OLD slab, would it be WISE to:
1.) Crack it out and resubmit,
2.) If I crack it out, should I dip it in acetone to remove the toning?
Thanks, Jim

Assuming that the coin is Mint State, the current "bid" for MS-60 is $375 and for MS-63 it's $775. That means that the Trends price is probably too high for your coin in any venue. I
f the toning is original and attractive you might get a toning person to pay a premium for it. I would not try to clean or lighten the coin if I were you. I'd take to a dealer you trust. If you don't trust any of them, try to take a picture and post it up here. It's not great, but it's better than nothing.
The toning can range from being artificial and ugly and therefore a detriment to being original and pretty which could raise the price considerably. In today’s market it’s a wild card until someone who knows the market has seen it.
