I'll get a list going. This was bodybagged by PCGS for "lack of authenticity" or some such nonsense image

Why are you unable to post a picture? It might be helpful for other members to see it sto that perhaps some of us can point out what is wrong with the piece.

My condolences to you. Getting caught with a counterfeit is a bummer. That’s why I tell collectors to ALWAYS buy the 1909-S-VDB and other key coins in certification holders.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Most people agree you can't grade well from a photo so showing pictures of fakes isn't as good as looking at the real deal.

There are previous threads on this board with pictures of real vs fakes so I thought anyone curious about what it looks like in person can borrow it, photograph it, compare their coins to this one, show it at a local club, do a speech on it.. whatever.

Trying to make other people lemonade out of my lemons is all i'm trying to do.

Tom, and Bill said it all.

Do not buy key date coins from photo's and always have a return policy if buying raw, in order that you can look at the coin on all three sides closely. Better yet, find one already certified by the major grading services.

I have been messing with keys for years and have seen some darn good counterfiets that I might have accepted as okay? had I been offered. Fortunately, I dont buy raw without knowing unquestionably that it is a geniune original piece.

I hate to hear you got burned, thats a bad feeling. My sympathy goes out to you. If anything maybe youll Be extremely careful in the future!!
