does not suprise me! there are sellers who are selling xf au aritifacial toned coins, and screwing one person after the other................ebay has been told about it, the same seller has had thier auctions taken off ebay...and sure enought they come right back on under a diffrent name, and sell the same coins!!!!! i just dont think they care anymore except for thier bottom line...........
Most lawyers are idiots, this prosecutor appears to be bored. The real problem here is for them to prove PayPal truely acted neglegently. For this to happen they would have to prove that PayPal knew exactly what each payment moving through its system was being used for. This is not possible, and is unrealistic. The argument that it went to a site that supported gambling is not proof enough as this is not proof that the funds were used in actual gambling activity as opposed to paying for a membership or other services. Second, there are legitimate and legal on line gambling sites. I don't think this will go far and rightly so.
"The provision prohibits the transmission of funds that are known to have been derived from a criminal offense, or are intended to be used to promote or support unlawful activity"
I wonder, as long as grading is an opinion, and to my knowledge (correct me if I'm wrong) AT is legal in the sense that it is not a criminal offense as such, there will be no recourse but knowledge, consumer awareness entities, and hopefully friendly recieved heads up here and there. I always wince when I see AT artists on ebay. I have an extensive collection of toned coins, and always wonder about the ramifications to the value of my collection.
Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.
