GSA 1884-CC Silver Dollar: Submit to PCGS

I have an 1884-CC GSA silver dollar, without box, but still in original holder. I grade it a MS-63, maybe MS-62. Should I submit it for my free quarterly submission?

No, worth more in the original holder! Wait until they start doing what NGC is doing! Now if it was a 65 then I might say go for it!

With the amount of GSA Morgans that have been broken out of the holders, I sure wouldn't send it in. They are commanding healthy premiums in the GSA holders.

Tom, if it won't go 5, save your $.

Thanks for all the responses. I shall leave it in its holder. The only other CC coin I have is a 1870-CC double eagle which could go MS-66.

    Just kidding.

Why share your profit, perhaps all of it, with PCGS? Sell the coin in the original GSA holder....or better yet, keep it for your child.

P.S. I typed the first line before I re-read that you're getting a freebie. Still, keep that one and send in something else.image
