Just bought a roll of OBW Frankies

Both ends are tails. I wonder what is inside. Maybe some good date FBL's. Anyone else ever take this kind of crapshoot?...........Ken

  • Lucy, I must have looked at over 300 raw Frankies yesterday. With the exception of 2 UNC rolls, the rest were..........well, crap. It seems that the good ones might be hard to find. But then, maybe I am grading too hard.....Ken

Other than some pretty end roll pieces, I havent had too much luck pulling gems from rolls. Mint sets have been very good too me. Hope you do well!
Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.
  • Don't pay a premium for rolls with both tail sides, or any rolls for that matter. I have seen many dealers open the rolls carefully and look through the coins and then put the rolls back together. It can be done. They then put the tails out on each side to suck in the buyers that think there may be some scarce dates or toned obverses in there.
