Since I have no pre-1800 coins, the answer is easy. I expected the choices to be bust, seated, barber, 20th century, etc.
For that I think my answer would be seated... certainly most dollars per coin.

1901-1950: Would you be surprised also, if I said Mercury dimes whithin that time frame.
My budget allocation is as follows:
Before 1801 U.S: 5%
1801-1900 U.S: 25%
1901-1950 U.S: 40%
Post 1950 U.S: 15%
British: 15%

Per coin, definitely pre-1801. However, I have a lot more 1801-1900 coins, so overall, that's the answer.

The majority of money I have spent has been in the 20th century market. But the greatest number of coins is in the 19th century market! Mostly skewed due to gold coins.
