Does this lincoln 1926-S look like MS-64 to you

Although this coin is graded by NGC to be MS-64 it sure doesn't look like it has much detail. What do you all think?

Ogden, I have to agree, despite what the seller says, that strike looks terrible...very soft! Could be why he's asking 1/4 retail.

Does look weak. What is that on the jaw?

I can honestly say that would be an extrodinary soft strike.Without seeing it first hand,I can't say positively. It doesn't appear to be wear.

The 1926-s usually comes poorly struck. This is no exception, plus the scan doesn't help. MS64? Not likely, but this is a coin that needs to tbe seen in person to make that determination.

Dont put too much money into that coin, This is a coin where the seller is hoping someone buys the plastic.

The strike is extremely soft and its definitley a low end brown. You can find a nice brown 26-s in a better looking 63 or 4 anyday.

The true rarity is the "red" but you can still find a nice red/brown that looks 100x better than this piece.

It is a soft strike, but without seeing the coin in hand I don't think it is fair to say it is not a 64. It could have very nice luster, and I don't see any dings that stand out. The seller claims the wheat stalks are sharp, which would be unusual for this date/mint. The coin would have to have a clean reverse and nice luster to be a 64 in my eyes. mdwoods
