Filling my holes?

Merc 21 G4 $15.00
Buff 21S G4 $17.00
Linc 09S G4 $40.00
Fly Eagle 58SL VG8 $16.00
Fly Eagle 58LL G6 $16.00
Fly Eagle 57 G4 $16.00

Local dealer had a good supply. I applied the grades, no plastic here. What do you think?

Now he knows how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall.

Edit: Got to be quick around this joint Mr. Buglar. Now that I can see what holes you were refering to, I say congratulations to you. A good feeling to fill those.

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. CLANKEYE MADE ME DO IT!

    dabugler,

Great prices on the FEs. If you liked them enough to buy them, they're cheap at those grades! All of those look like good scores!
  • Thanks, in retrospect the title could have have been misleading. Life sucks when you hit the "enter" key after a few beers.image

    some great coins.
FE's are the best! Don't let these Frankie people brainwash you!
  • As many of us have seen on the boards, lots of folks send half-entered stuff by mistake (or JavaScript bug) only to have their threads hijacked for other purposes.

The wonderful, marvelous thing is, most of the time, the hijacks are genuninely fun, and are part of what makes this (somewhat dysfunctional) family so great - when it wishes to be.

I'm jealous of your FEs at those prices. Enjoy them!
  • No problem on the mistaken identity thing. This recent purchase will go a long towards my recent goal of leaving my kids something to build from. I've been saving the family change for about six months and I'm happy with my purchases. Once again, I applied the grades. I'm not an expert and I probably overgrade. Yes, they looked good to me. The Buff 's date is questionable as the date is only visible with the right angle (flourescent/sun light) but it's there. Did I overgrade? The reverse has a strong "s".

the 1921 Merc was a good deal. I looked at several '21's today at my local shop, as I also just want a low-grade filler for now. The lowest he had, I would say it was a G-4, and he wanted $28 for it.

Must be one of those "roll over" things. Just kidding.

I forgot to mention the 89 silver maple leaf I picked up for 8 bucks. Original RCM packaging. One hell of an example of as close to a pure silver coin as you can get. It's already in plastic, so I'll think I'll leave it.

Maple leafs are awesome in silver or gold. Even if they do all have the same obverse year after year (until the queen ages a bit)/
